Welcome to Smart Green Tips. My name is Beth and I started this blog to help families save time and money while helping the planet a little, too. My husband and I live on the East Coast of the United States with our twin daughters who, at this writing, are 3 4 5 6 years old.
I’ve always enjoyed researching things — household products, appliances, cars, health and wellness information, and over the last three four five six years, all things baby and child related. While I love gathering facts and details, it does take a lot of time. This blog was created out of my desire to collect the information I’ve gathered into one place and to help other people by saving them a step or two. There is an overwhelming amount of information out there and I’ve tried to sort through some of it to provide you with information that is quick and easy to read.
Since having children, I’ve become even more interested in our impact on the environment as well as our environment’s impact on us. Like many parents, I’m concerned about the foods my kids eat and the chemicals they are exposed to. Some of the posts here will reflect those concerns and provide you with information on how to keep your family healthy and safe.
From time to time I may review products or services to let you know my perspective on them. I can assure you that I will always provide my honest opinion and will never comment on a product with which I have not had direct experience. In the interest of full disclosure, some of the links to products I discuss may be affiliate links (mostly because they help me cover the costs of running this site). However, the same rule applies to affiliate products. I will not recommend products I do not genuinely like and use.
I hope you’ll find the information here useful. I welcome suggestions and questions. You can reach me on the contact page or in the comments.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you’ll come back.
